Bonaire is a small island in the Caribbean Netherlands, a nine-hour direct flight from Amsterdam. The languages are Dutch, Papiamentu and English.
The island is easygoing, with sunshine all year, and short distances. Thousands of flamingos live on the salt flats, sea turtles nest on the beaches, and Rincon, the oldest village, dates to 1527.
The island combines nature, culture and relaxation, and with them a wide range of activities.
