Introduction

Each July, the city becomes the international capital of jazz. Held annually on the second weekend of July at Rotterdam Ahoy, the NN North Sea Jazz Festival brings together roughly 1,300 musicians across some fifteen stages under a single roof, welcoming close to 90,000 visitors. Since its first edition in 1976 it has hosted a remarkable roll call of icons and continues to introduce the artists of tomorrow.
